The café rando Nord label was born in 2016, following the meeting of a café owner and the Département du Nord, interested in creating a reference network for hikers.
The café rando label helps to promote local trade, local tourism and the practice of nature sports around the establishments.
The idea behind the “cafés rando” is to offer original “hiker-friendly” places that welcome you with your picnic, in exchange for a drink.
There are over a hundred such cafés throughout the département! A good reason to strap on your hiking boots and hit the trails!
The Office du tourisme et des congrès has certified 5 cafés rando in the Valenciennes area, and more nuggets will be added to the list!
