Nestled in the heart of the Chabaud Latour site in Condé-sur-Escaut, La Roselière is a place that has to be earned! You’ll have to trudge a few kilometers before arriving at this former miners’ café!

For over a hundred years now, La Roselière has been welcoming its customers, whether miners, fishermen, hikers… At the foot of the Chabaud Latour slag heap! It’s as typical as it gets…

The welcome here is warm and uncomplicated, ideal for recharging your batteries after a long hike!

An authentic break not far from the Ledoux slag heap

Stopping off at Erick’s for a well-deserved break is like stepping back in time, to the days of the coal mines and the miner’s picks!

Sitting on the terrace, you’ll get the best view of the Ledoux headframe, with a glimpse of the slag heap in the background!

It’s a good idea to build up your strength before climbing it! The panoramic view from the top is well worth the effort!

Here’s a tip for cyclists: Erick will be happy to look after your bikes on request, so you can climb the terril at your leisure!
