Peacefully clinging to the side of a valley, the village of Sebourg is located around ten kilometers from Valenciennes. It’s an ideal place for those in search of tranquillity and fresh air.

This loop will introduce you to the essentials of Sebourg, its medieval church (a reminder of Saint-Druon, the patron saint of farmers), its 18th-century farms, the World War I cemetery bearing witness to the past of the northern plains, the mill still in operation, the bridges over the Aunelle, Sebourg castle, the Sebourquiaux chapel and the café rando, the ideal place for a gourmet break!

Walking along the Aunelle river

At the foot of the Eglise Saint-Martin, admire the panoramic view from the promontory and set off past the café rando Le bar de l’Aunelle, which is sure to comfort you after an 8km walk. A little further on, on your left, let yourself be drawn in by the lovely tree-lined “cavée” path, which leads to the Moulin de Sebourg. Since 1928, the Morage family has been perpetuating the traditional know-how of flour production, and you’ll find their products on site or at the Aunelle bar. Turn right and follow the river.
