On a stage resembling an apocalypse, a singular explorer with a hat screwed on his head and a doughnut as a pendant wanders among the remnants of our consumer society. Like a modern-day Chaplin, Maxim Storms transforms disaster into a fascinating playground. In this world in need of repair, every found object becomes the starting point for a metamorphosis or a poignant reflection.
With each discovery, his signature exclamation rings out: "This is something! And that's an understatement. Between absurd humor and stunning visual discoveries, the artist invites us to make sense of what surrounds us. A vibrant, colorful self-portrait that proves, if proof were needed, that Storms is definitely a creator in a class of his own.
