20 years of Emotion: The Embaroquement Immédiat Festival thinks big! Get ready for a sensory voyage beyond time. From May 4 to 31, 2026, the Valenciennes region will vibrate to the rhythm of baroque music for an exceptional anniversary edition. For two decades, Embaroquement Immédiat has been transforming our heritage into a musical showcase. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the festival offers a flamboyant program of timeless masterpieces and forgotten nuggets. Highlights not to be missed: Wednesday May 6 (7pm - Valenciennes) : Musical Tournament with the ensemble Les Timbres. A friendly duel between the geniuses Bach, Corelli, Marais and Haendel, where the audience votes. Tuesday May 12 (6.30pm - Saint-Saulve): QUATRE (saisons), a show combining contemporary dance and baroque accents by Cie Beaux Champs. Friday May 15 (8:00 pm - Maing): CHUT(es)! baroque antics with mezzo-soprano Lucile Richardot and harpsichordist Jean-Luc Ho. Sunday, May 17 (3pm - Quarouble): French and German passions by the Theodora ensemble. Sunday, May 31 (Valenciennes): Closing day "Clavecins Mania!". A marathon of 5 concerts on 5 different instruments (10:30 am: Orphée Foucher de la Fuente; 11:30 am: Esther Mamane...). Join leading international ensembles (Gli Incogniti, Scherzi Musicali, Harmonia Sacra) and the virtuosos of tomorrow. From centuries-old churches to grand salons, rediscover the region's architectural treasures, sublimated by acoustics and emotion.
