With Rendez-vous Nature, the Département gives you the opportunity to plunge into the heart of nature and its mysteries. Between April and December, over 260 free events are on offer from the north to the south of the region.

It’s a chance to take a break in the fresh air and (re)discover the richness of the Nord’s natural spaces (forests, ponds, slag heaps, dunes), as well as its hiking trails. Some forty associative partners are offering a multitude of outings and workshops on different themes. An opportunity for young and old to learn more about the fauna and flora of the Nord region, while having fun at the same time.

Outings with the Nature Park

Every season, the Scarpe-Escaut Nature Park invites you to discover its territory. Outings with the Park” are free, accompanied visits.

Wetlands” outings

In February, all “Outings with the Park” focus on wetlands. Accompanied and free of charge, they are aimed at the curious young and old alike.

Every year, on February 2, the world celebrates the signing of the Ramsar Convention, the first international agreement to protect wetlands.

The Scarpe-Escaut Regional Nature Park offers a program of events for the general public on local wetlands. Walks, site visits, participative workcamps, exhibitions, games…

This year’s theme is “Protecting wetlands for our common future”, and associations, communes, intercommunalités, etc. are mobilizing to offer 22 events throughout the region, between February 1 and March 1.
