When you think of a tourist office, you think of a “welcome agent”, but that was a long time ago! Today, when you visit, you’re in the presence of real “local experts”, or the “local expert” in some tourist sites, including Valenciennes.

As well as welcoming you, we promise to advise and guide you in your search before and during your stay. Like a friend, we’ll help you with all our expertise and specialist knowledge, and with arms wide open.

It’s important to take time for yourself, to slow down in our hectic lives, and that’s what we offer you even for a few minutes in our tourist office. Would you like to warm up or enjoy a local delicacy: coffee?

But not just any coffee! Local REMY coffee, roasted for 3 generations in the Valenciennes region. If you like it, you can buy it in our on-site store, in bean or ground form. Trust our experts.

Coffee means hospitality. We like to receive, the Valenciennes region likes to receive, and the tourist office will seem to you a warm and familiar place designed with generosity and harmony. Our aim is to make you feel at home, and we’ve succeeded in doing just that since the site opened in April 2024.

Hospitality also means taking care of people. Our local experts will take care of you from the moment you arrive, and will stay by your side to guide you around with kindness and availability.

Among the twenty or so coffee roasters, one of the best known is to be found in Valenciennes: café REMY since 1954 (3 generations)! And let’s not forget Chicorée, a whole history born in the Valenciennes region…
