1. Travelling puppet festival

Driven by a passion for the art of puppetry, Compagnie Zapoï (directed by Stanka PAVLOVA and Denis BONNETIER) presents a wide range of shows every October as part of the Festival Itinérant de Marionnette (F.I.M.), which is like no other!

A spectacular festival that celebrates the art of puppetry with a variety of shows (object theater, shadow theater, music theater, paper theater…), from classic pieces to contemporary creations, presented by renowned puppeteers from all over the world. A unique opportunity to discover the magic of this ancestral art in several communes of the Valenciennes Métropole agglomeration (partner of the festival).

Also as part of the festival, three days dedicated to toddlers (aged 1 and over), entitled “ Art et tout-petits ” ( Art and toddlers ), and their carers, await you at the Valenciennes Conservatoire, with shows, music and reading sessions…

3. Turbulentes Festival

When we talk about puppets, for those of you who know them, we also think of a Valenciennes springtime staple: ” Festival des Turbulentes “.

This is THE festive, family-friendly street arts festival of the Valenciennes region. Chaperoned by Le Boulon (Centre National des Arts de la rue et de l’Espace Public) since 1999, it features

3 days of street theater, circus, dance, acrobatics and music in Vieux-Condé town center, accessible to all, free of charge and even by tramway(Transvilles line T2 Le boulon- terminus Le Boulon).
