Valenciennes offers a large number of free parking spaces near the city center and free periods

Free car parks

2 large car parks are available free of charge a few minutes’ walk away from the town centre:

  • The Parking Lacuzon, recently revamped (new lighting, new tarmac) Rue Adolphe Lacuzon, offers 600 outdoor parking spaces. It’s open 24/7 except for a few times a year during events such as the circus or the Bastille Day fireworks. Maximum height 1.90 m. If you need to take the train, it’s an 11-minute walk from the station.
  • The Parking de Fort Minique, near the sports complex of the same name, is a 10-minute walk away from the town centre. Outdoor parking, open 24/7.

Periods of free parking in Valenciennes town centre

Street parking

20 minutes of free street parking (2 times per vehicle per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon):

  • At the parking meters,
  • With the PIAF,
  • With the Park Now app.

In order to support business, parking is free on certain days:

  • The 3rd Saturday of each month from 2:30 pm in the town centre and the indoor car parks,
  • Wednesday and Saturday mornings on the Boulevard Watteau for the Place Verte market, behind the Musée des Beaux-Arts.
