From the setting green to the mouthing ... At the corner of the rue des Vérimetz in the pretty village of Sebourg, I stop on the gravel parking lot. By skirting the brick building similar to a house, I enter a green setting. I am greeted by Marion, the waiter of the restaurant L'Unico side garden, formerly Clos de la Perrière. She advises me to settle in the main room near the bar nicely lit. Crossing this room, you will be charmed by the sober and elegant decoration with the main notes of beige and chocolate highlighted with wood. You will notice that nature is omnipresent: the beautiful garden where you can enjoy a cocktail of the moment, the different floral arrangements in the center of the table or paintings that refine the decoration. Marion offers me the card explaining me that it changes very regularly because Mr. Vincent, the manager and chef uses only fresh seasonal produce with the slogan of proximity (the bread is from the bakery from Sebourg, Rombies poultry and cheeses from the region). The leitmotif of the chef is to offer a "creative and generous cuisine with a combination of fresh produce to please people, as at home". And indeed, I feel comfortable. A radio broadcasts pretty feminine and jazzy famous songs of U2, Rolling Stones or Depeche Mode. A sweet smell of wood accompanies me when I taste the entry of foie gras seared on butternut puree and roasted hazelnuts. The Irish Black Angus bib kebab, Noirmoutier potatoes and frozen vegetables also made my mouth water. From the appetizer to the dessert, I am pleasantly surprised as much by the proposal of the dishes as by the singularity of their presentation that I wanted to share with photos on social networks. What was not the surprising surprise of not capturing any network. Forget the idea of making a phone call or surfing the Internet, the disconnection is total. WIFI is offered inside but why not take the opportunity to mark a break? I also notice the young Belgian couple enjoying a jasmine tea in the living room below. The cozy atmosphere is perfect for winter evenings. Tip, if you want to eat on Saturday night or Sunday lunch, remember to book! Between us, the garden side Unico is the ideal restaurant for a rural break and gourmet. Ophelia Delcroix
