Built between 1840 and 1845 by the mining company Thivencelles, the Fosse Soult was almost completely dismantled in the 1970s. Today remains a rare testimony of the fossils of the mid-19th century: a nice L-shaped building that gathered stables, oat shops, forges, boilermaking, garages, store, iron and metal storage, tools but also offices. Characteristic of the industrial architecture of the time, it is modestly inspired by the neo-classical vocabulary: large bays in the middle and doors...

Today remains a rare testimony of the fossils of the mid-19th century: a nice L-shaped building that gathered stables, oat shops, forges, boilermaking, garages, store, iron and metal storage, tools but also offices. Characteristic of the industrial architecture of the time, it is modestly inspired by the neo-classical vocabulary: large bays in the middle and doors surmounted by a triangular pediment pierced with an oculus.
