Moulin de la vallée - ROMBIES ET MARCHIPONT

The Moulin de la Vallée in Rombies-et-Marchipont
A small border village which successfully escaped industrialisation, Rombies-et-Marchipont still has an attractive water mill dating from 1779. Although no longer in operation since 1966, the mill still has its millstones and machinery. This private building, which was listed as a historical monument in 1992, can be admired from the path or the river banks, much to the delight of walkers or rural architecture enthusiasts.
