Opening times

On Mondays, the museum is only open for group visits (booking required), 10 am-6 pm

Wednesday-Sunday, 10 am-6 pm

Thursday, 10 am-8 pm

Open on 1st and 11th November
Closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and in the afternoon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Activities for Families & Young Visitors

Family Sundays (1st Sunday of the month led by an artist or a museum guide),
Mondays at the museum (a cultural awakening for ages 9 months to 2 years),
Weekly workshops (introduction to art: volume and sculpture, painting techniques, design and drawing through the world of comic books),
Birthday parties,
Holiday workshops every day, even during the school holidays...

Getting here

By car : from Lille (take the A23 then the A2) or Paris/Brussels (take the E19/A2) > take the Valenciennes Centre exit, then follow the Boulevard Carpeaux then the Boulevard Watteau

By train: take the TGV from Paris (Gare du Nord) to Valenciennes: 1 hour 45 minutes

By tram: alight at Sous-Préfecture and the museum will be a 10-minute walk away

Parking: paid parking on the Boulevard Watteau and behind the museum (Place Verte)
